Color Splashes
It’s a canvas
It started white
But we took ‘r chances
Dipped our fingers in red
Flirting, smiling and laughing
We plotted ‘r hearts’ advances
We blend in the brown
We drew some of the greens
We sat down on high branches
A fire started without a pit
We couldn’t see through the gray
We had no lights or matches
We talked and times passed
Roses blossomed before spring
We could smell forests and ranches
We took few steps back
Are we drawing a portrait of love
or days of ‘r lives with patches?
